After the family gathering

Keep what worked. Improve the next gathering.

A short family reunion evaluation can keep useful feedback from getting lost. Write what you would repeat, what could work better and one idea for next time. Print blank copies to share, or save your own reply.

Six original questions · Optional name · Text download · Blank or filled printing · No account

Your answers stay in this page’s memory. They are not uploaded or autosaved: refreshing or closing clears them. Download text or print before leaving. You decide how to share the saved copy; this page does not collect or send responses.

Share what would help the next gathering

Answer any of the six questions after the gathering. Your name is optional. Unanswered questions stay in the saved copy so you can finish them on paper.

1. What would you like us to do again?

2. What would you change about the timing or place?

3. How did the meals and shared spaces work for you?

4. What helped you connect with relatives?

5. Was the information clear, and what was missing?

6. What is one practical idea for the next gathering?

Ask after the gathering, while the details are fresh

Keep the response about this gathering: one thing worth repeating, one practical change and the information that would have helped. You can answer only the questions you choose. A suggestion is a starting point for the next organizer, not a booking or a commitment.

The Reunions magazine wrap-up guide recommends a simple evaluation with narrative answers to improve the next reunion. Reunly’s event evaluation combines ratings with written comments about what worked and what to change. This MemoirWell form uses six original written questions, an optional overall 1–5 rating and its own layout; it does not calculate ratings.

A fictional reply

Rosa writes: The porch-photo conversation helped me meet cousins I had not spoken with before. I would keep it, start lunch a little later and put the meeting-room directions beside the schedule. Rosa and these details are invented.

Give the saved copy to the person you choose

The organizer can print blank copies and arrange how to receive them. If you write your own response here, download or print it before leaving. Nothing is sent to the organizer, and this page does not gather replies or summarize a group’s results.

Before you save the feedback

Can I print a blank family reunion evaluation form?

Yes. A blank copy includes all six questions with handwriting lines and an optional overall 1–5 scale to circle. Choose a rating in the editor to include that number instead; 1 is lowest and 5 is highest. You can add the gathering and date first. A partly answered copy also keeps every question, so someone can finish on paper.

Is this the same as the planning survey?

This form is for feedback after a gathering. The separate planning survey asks about possible dates, travel, meals and activities before plans are fixed. Neither form collects responses online or confirms attendance.

Do I have to include my name or answer every question?

No. Your name and each answer are optional. Include the words you want on the saved copy. Blank questions stay in the print and TXT copies with room for a later answer.

Where is my feedback saved?

Only in this page’s memory. It is not uploaded or autosaved; refreshing or closing clears it. Download text or print before leaving. Saved TXT and PDF files cannot be reopened here as an editable form.

How do Clear and Undo work?

Clear this answer asks you to confirm. Undo restores its wording until you write new words in that answer or close the page. Answering another question or editing the heading leaves Undo available. Your title, name and gathering details are unchanged.

How do I print or save a PDF?

Use Review my feedback, then Print or save PDF, or the browser’s print command while editing. Choose Letter or A4 and check the preview. Long answers or a long heading can use more pages; all six questions remain in order.

Keep a memory as well as the practical feedback

Save your feedback first. MemoirWell’s separate guided interview can help you develop a memory you choose into an AI-assisted draft chapter to check and edit. Your evaluation answers are not transferred automatically.
