Getting the worksheet ready…

The worksheet hasn’t loaded. Reload the page

Your wording stays in this page’s memory, without upload or autosave. Refreshing or closing clears it. Print or download before leaving. There is no photo upload or professional print order.

Choose a few words to keep

All five fields are optional. A short name, dates and a small memory are enough. The preview shows one bookmark; the printed sheet repeats it as many times as you choose.

For example, Remembering. Leave it out if the name is enough.

Use the name you want friends and family to keep.

Write only the dates or years you have checked, in your preferred format.

A small remembered moment or your own message can stand alone. Use only wording you have permission to share.

Name the writer or source of chosen words when appropriate, or add your own closing.

Choose one to four matching bookmarks. For more, print additional sheets in the browser’s print dialog.

4 matching bookmarks on the printed sheet.

Choose words that feel like this person

A familiar saying, a brief memory or a few words from the people who knew them can be enough. You can leave out dates or any other field. Check spellings and the intended wording with the family before making copies.

US Urns Online’s free bookmark guide describes personalizing a keepsake to give out at a funeral or celebration of life. Elegant Memorials’ informational article describes a name, dates and chosen words on a bookmark that can be kept in a book. This simple text layout is original; it uses none of their artwork, downloadable files or paid designs.

An invented example

Remembering · Rosa Ortiz · 1938–2026 · There was always a chair beside her garden gate, and time for one more story. · With love, her family. Rosa, the dates and the memory are fictional; replace them with your own checked wording.

Keep the words brief for a narrow bookmark

The cut-out strips are about 43 × 178 mm (1.7 × 7 inches) at actual size. Print one test sheet on ordinary paper, check that it fits your book, then choose suitable paper or card yourself. Multiline messages use 9 pt in the printed cut-out so more words can stay on each line. Long lines can still wrap; check the preview when line breaks matter. The layout is single-sided and does not match a particular precut product. There is no photo editor, duplex alignment or printing service.

A bookmark is a take-home remembrance. Use the separate memorial service program for a ceremony’s running order, or the guest book for messages left by people who came.

Before you print the bookmarks

Can I print this memorial bookmark template for free?

Yes. No account is needed. Choose one to four matching copies on the sheet and use Print bookmarks or Print or save PDF. Four blank or ordinarily short bookmarks are intended for one Letter or A4 page at actual size. Check your print preview and a test sheet before making more.

Can I make a bookmark with only a name or memory?

Yes. Every text field is optional. Once you enter words, empty fields and their captions disappear from the printed bookmark. A completely empty form prints writing lines without field captions inside the cut-out; captions stay in the on-screen preview. The preview shows one bookmark; the printed sheet uses your chosen number of matching copies.

What happens to longer wording?

Nothing is silently cut off. If a field exceeds its suggested length, the total exceeds 500 characters, the message has more than twelve lines, or another field has more than six lines, the tool prints one full-width proof instead of repeated narrow bookmarks. It can span pages. Shorten the wording to return to the cut-out layout; the on-screen message tells you which layout is active.

Can I include a poem, prayer or quotation?

You can enter wording you are entitled to share and add its writer or source in Attribution or closing. This page does not supply or verify poems, prayers, quotations, authorship or family facts. Your own short memory needs no borrowed wording.

Can I undo Clear?

Clear asks before removing the five text fields. Undo restores their exact wording, including from Review. A new letter in any text field removes Undo; changing the number of copies keeps it. Another Clear replaces the previous Undo. Clearing text does not change the chosen copy count.

Are my words saved or uploaded?

They stay only in this page’s memory, without upload or autosave. Print or download before closing or refreshing. The text file keeps your wording, spaces and line breaks once, without field captions when filled; a blank text copy has labels and writing lines. It cannot be reopened here as an editable file.

Keep a longer memory for another day

Save your bookmark first. MemoirWell’s separate guided interview can help turn a memory into an AI-assisted chapter draft to check and edit. It does not receive this bookmark’s words automatically.
