Make the invitation easy to act on
Confirm the date, meeting place and reply contact before sharing. If a meal, cost or plan is still undecided, say so. You can ask guests to bring an old photo, a recipe or a memory they would like to tell.
Do Tell A Belle’s family reunion invitation guide lists the family name, date, time, location, reply contact and food or clothing notes. Megan Heyl’s RootsTech family reunion handout, hosted by FamilySearch, includes designing and sending an invitation in its planning checklist. The text fields and layout here are original.
A fictional example
Title: The Rowan family picnic. Welcome: Come spend an afternoon sharing food and the stories behind our old photos. When: Saturday afternoon, with the exact date and time confirmed by the organizer. Where: The reserved park shelter; add its address and meeting point. Please reply: Contact Jo by the date on your family’s plan. Please bring: One photo you would enjoy talking about.
Use the family reunion survey while plans are still open, and the reunion agenda for the day’s activities. Keep replies in your own guest list.
Before you share your invitation
Is this a free printable family reunion invitation template?
Yes. Write your own invitation, download a TXT file, or use the browser’s print dialog to print or save a PDF. The layout uses Letter or A4 paper; it is not a commercial card-stock or envelope template. All seven fields are optional.
What appears in a blank or filled copy?
An empty invitation, or one with only a title, keeps all six detail fields with lines for handwriting. Once you add details, only fields with words are included. A short invitation can fit on one page; long entries can continue onto more pages. Check Letter or A4 preview, and turn off the browser’s own headers and footers if you do not want them.
Will this send invitations or collect RSVPs?
No. This page prepares a copy for you to share yourself. It does not send email or messages, store guest contacts, make a public invitation link or collect replies. Write the reply method you have agreed with your organizer.
Are my words saved or uploaded?
Your entries stay in this page’s memory without upload or autosave. Refreshing or closing clears them. Download text or print before leaving. Saved TXT and PDF copies cannot be reopened here as an editable invitation.
Can I undo clearing the invitation?
Clear this invitation asks before clearing the title and all six detail fields. Undo restores all seven exactly. Typing in any field after clearing removes that Undo so it cannot replace your newer words. Closing or refreshing also clears Undo.
Keep a story from the gathering
Save your invitation before leaving. MemoirWell’s separate guided interview can help turn a memory into an AI-assisted draft chapter for you to check and edit. Your invitation words are not transferred automatically.
